Dear Mr. Srinandan, last 4 to 5 years other than Gold and Real Estate none of the asset classes which we have access has given good returns. But please note one thing which no one can change, good returns are always made by investing on the back of bad performance. Good returns are not made by investing on the back of good performance. The people who have made money in equity markets are the ones who invested in 1997/98, 2003/04 and 2008/09. At that time also, I am sure advisors faced same questions about past performance.

Dear Jayantbhai Doshi, The third element of ASK FOR MORE detailed above addresses exactly what you are saying. We need to go back to end 2008 and early 2009 and see what was the "mahol" at that time. It was completely gloom and doom just like the "mahol" that you are seeing today. But investors who had the vision to invest amidst that gloom and doom, ones who invested money in equity when interest rates were high and valuations were low, are the ones who got better appreciation in future and with that your trail on the same would also multiply. This is "the" time to push equity.

Concept as principle is good, But the conviction of investor is not there due to negative SIP returns in last 4 years. Even the present political situation is also not allowing the investor to invest in MF due to consistant bed performance of eq. mkt. Attractive rate of FDs are also playing important role in diverting funds to fixed rate products.

Till the time we do not demand more / appropriate amount we are doing injustice with client's dream and financial planning and I think its a crime to ask for less. After getting associated with ICICI Prudential MF only thing which clicks 1st is Beyond 2000 while planning for SIP with client. I have hardly Rs 1000 SIP in my portfolio and thanks to your thought process and team to make us understand that. BEYOND 2000 ...Always and I suppose every 5 Year it should increase by Rs 1000 to meet inflation

The SIP logic is true, however, before we even do SIPs we need to ascertain the clients risk taking ability. I have come across 70 year old investors doing SIP. As the advisor suggested it. A lot of investors are investing only to try something new, without even understanding the risk associated with investments. YEah, disclaimers are there but are they understood. Before we advisors even start selling SIPs we need to understand the clients risk taking ability and make him aware of the same, then we will be appreciated. The Life goals come in the 3rd stage.

SIP Calculator and SIP Insure are great initiatives taken by you. I am sure of a good number of SIPs coming my way.But as regard to SIP Insure a small change in the pattern of the product, like allowing the insurance cover to continue with a minimum maintenance amount in the folio like 50% of the total sip value as of the 36th SIP installment paid even on partial withdrawal, will help us to take the product a long long way.Otherwise on an emergency a client is likely to withdraw the entire amount even when his need is partial,because of losing his insurance cover on partial withdrawal.There by losing his interest on the very folio.

Dear Mr Vayeda, The SIP incentive after 5 years is not NIL. Just that upfront payment of SIP is paid in advance for 5 years and after that it is paid as and when the installment hits. As regards NFOs, the last NFO we did has done well i.e. ICICI Pru Focused BlueChip and now we are proposing ICICI Pru US BlueChip investing into bluechip large cap stocks listed in USA.

What you say is right, Global situation and experts like Marc Faber always talk negative every time the investment opportunity arise, this also is an indicator for wise investor to invest maximum, I feel that in 2015 value of portfolio will double from hereon
I sincerely appreciate your recent strategy in promoting long term investments by launching sip insure and this useful tool. along side you need to encourage long term distributors promoting long term investments by incentivicing them with higher trial from the 3 rd year or so. Also when you are promoting goal based investments you should not consider consolidating the folios as this would not help the client or the distributor in tracking investments to the specific objective.

Why such wisdom was not shown in 2006 and 2007 when every AMC, including yours, was busy in taking out "NFO" ? Even to-day also, why incentive is given for SIP having tenure less than 05 Yrs ?
