A lot of changes have taken place during the last seven years. So I find no reason for making the candidates learn 2007 edition books by paying through the nose. Please advise

Hi, I have already done my PGDFA- post graduate diploma in Financial Advisor through IIBF,having the same pattern and subjects so how far is this course AWMC different from PGDFA.
JUST ENQUIRING IF THE SATURDAY SCHOOL EPISODES HAVE COMMENCED. I AM SURE AFTER MAKING A SERIOUS ATTEMPT TO FOLLOW THEM I CAN ASSESS IF I COULD ENROL FOR THE WEALTH MANAGEMENT COURSE BY IIBF. I AM A SENIOR CITIZEN AND HAVE LOST TOUCH WITH CONCEPTS BUT YOUR SUPPORT OF THE SATURDAY SCHOOL MOTIVATES ME TO GIVE IT A TRY. GOD BLESS .
Your course material does not take cognisance of the ever changing Indian financial markets. An affiliation of Australian agency amy not siffice. The list of recommended books seem to be too old as the editions are 0f 2007.
Your guidelines for clearing Wealth Management Course is really admiring and encouraging to the person who is from Mutual Fund and Financial Fields. I am thankful to you for this article. I have a dream to become CFP and for this I am studying on self mode method but now I shall attempt to kill two birds with one stone.
sebi has already lot of certification courses why do we need this one
I am a retired army person. My educational qualification is inter. After putting 16 years service I took VRS. At the time retirement I got a graduation certificate issued by Indian Armed Forces. In that it is written that "under the provision of Govt. of India, Ministry of Personnel Public Grievances and Pension (Dept. of Personnel & Training) letter no ...so & so..,published vide Govt. of India Gazette Notification No... so & so.., an ex-serviceman who, has put 15 years of service in the Armed Forces having minimum qualification of Matriculation is considered eligible for appointment to the posts for which the essential qualification prescribed in GRADUATION. Based on this am I eligible to appear the AWM exam? Please let me know.
It is a very good initiative to help those advisers who want to advance in financial field. financial planning is an urgent requirement on the time. A combination of wealth management & CFP is very much admirable course subject to its accreditation & recognition by concerned authorities like SEBI
I LIKE THIS,IT IS REALLY GOOD INITIATIVE. I ALSO WANT TO DO THE COURSE.
I love what i m doing now, but can i get a good job on the base of this certificate?
whats the difference between the Certification offered by IIBF and those offered by NCFM AND NISM . Why doesnt SEBI Prescribe a common programme for IFA , IFP , CPF......ETC..ETC....
VERY GOOD INITIATIVE. WANNA DO THIS COURSE ASAP.
VERY GOOD INFORMATION. I WANT TO DO THE COURSE. THANKS TO WEBSITE PEOPLE & ENTIRE TEAM FOR UPDATE TO ME.
Seems to be very informative and useful course especially for IFAs.I am AMFI Registered IFA and also passed the NISM(SEBI approved) conducted CPFA exams securing 76% marks and have more than 10 years experience in this field. I am also a Diploma in Homeopathic Medicines & Surgery which is 4 yr.Course in Homeopathy. My question here is then that will I be eligible to take this IIFB course?
Even after passing Advanced Wealth Management Course (IIBF) and CFP he can not be called Investment Advisor if he is not registered as investment adviser with SEBI. He has to pass examination conducted by SEBI.
IAM I2TH PASS CAN I APPLY FOR THIS EXAMINATION
....contd... Definition 2(1)(h) Says “financial planning” shall include analysis of clients’ current financial situation, identification of their financial goals, and developing and recommending financial strategies to realise such goals; Regulation 3 (1) say “On and from the commencement of these regulations, no person shall act as an investment adviser or hold itself out as an investment adviser unless he has obtained a certificate of registration from the Board under these regulations” Does this mean a person who does Advanced Wealth Management Course (IIBF) too is bound to be registered as investment adviser?
We all know that a CFP compulsorily need to be registered as investment advisor. SEBI investment advisor regulations 2013 is very clear on this and there is no confusion at all. Please read following part of the regulation, The SEBI investment advisor regulations categorically mentioned in its definition 2(1) (L) that- “investment advice” means advice relating to investing in, purchasing, selling or otherwise dealing in securities or investment products, and advice on investment portfolio containing securities or investment products, whether written, oral or through any other means of communication for the benefit of the client and shall include “financial planning”
I m HSC 1989.....in gujrati medium I m eligible?? Or. What other certifications I do?
