Experts expect the Nifty 50 to trade in the 23,000–23,600 range in the short term, with a decisive move on either side likely to provide firm direction to the index. Until a trend reversal is confirmed, experts advised following a sell-on-rallies strategy.

The Nifty 50 is expected to consolidate with a negative bias. A break below the crucial support level of 23,000 could strengthen bearish momentum and trigger panic selling. On the upside, the 23,400–23,500 zone is likely to act as a key hurdle.

Any recovery is likely to face selling pressure unless the Nifty 50 manages a sustainable close above the 23,600 level. They identify 23,200–23,000 as a crucial support zone, with a break below 23,000 potentially triggering a major downward move.

According to experts, the Nifty 50 could break below the previous day's low and fall towards 23,300. A further decline towards the June low of 23,070 cannot be ruled out if the index breaks below 23,300.
