Thanks for representing IFA community on the issues faced by all of us. Just make FIFA membership fees Rs 500/- everybody will become member, so it will be body of almost 1 lac members. Try to have a regular meeting with SEBI and AMFI on issues like KYC, TER Cuts, FATCA or scale of business benefit. You be the frontrunner instead of SEBI. AMC;s are shooting from the shoulders of SEBI. Their profits have increased and IFAs are struggling.
Sir, l am IFA since 2006and my AUM is 2.5 crs across the industry and have faced so many hurdles like service tax , GST , UP FRONT BAN, trail cut etc. but we are lucky that there is a body like FIFA and is taking huge efforts to save the IFA COMMUNITY , so l want to be the member of that by paying the FEE that is being fixed for the yr. So what will be the procedure to pay that amount.l will be obliged to be the member of that organisation. Thanks

Very true that we should have one trade body and one voice. But, present issue is many IFAs are already members of local associations and the office bearers are not ready to give up their identity. To solve this problem, look at entry barrier and decrease the membership fee. Make it 1000\- and get the numbers. Slowly increase it. Offer lifetime membership at an attractive fee. Instead of 3000 members, it will shoot up in multiples. Also look at organization set up like our CA Institute. Have central office and branch and if required Regional office concept. Give representing opportunity to all. I fully appreciate the work done by FIFA. But, regional representation has to be addressed.
