Groww MF’s product roll-out strategy is predicated on two factors:

(1)    build capabilities, create management capacity and only then launch products to ensure that fund managers are not spreading themselves too thin due to sales push for more products, and

(2)    launch products that aim at delivering good investor outcomes over all other considerations including asset gathering

Maanas says products that are best suited to deliver good investor outcomes are multi asset funds for those who want exposure across asset classes and for those who want equity, products that combine 3-4 sectors at any time in the quest to nimbly generate alpha consistently.

Behaviour gap – the gap between fund returns and investor portfolio returns is very real and must be reduced with a concerted effort from all concerned. Good product strategy can play a key role in this endeavour.

Groww MF will maintain equal focus on active as well as passive funds as it builds out its product suite. Both have their investor segments, both are growing and both deserve equal attention from fund houses.

Groww MF is very bullish on markets and urges investors to take a long term view to best harness the market’s potential. While global macros may look uncertain right now. Maanas takes us back in history to point out that Indian markets have endured several periods of uncertain global macros mainly because of our superior domestic macros.

Most steep falls in our market in the last 3 decades have been on account of global issues – never domestic. We bounce back quickly on the strength of a resilient domestic economy.

Now with the added strength of large and growing domestic flows into markets thanks to the SIP revolution, we are incrementally less vulnerable to global swings from a medium to long term perspective.
